UPS and FedEx are both moving to deliver their packages via their own tri express carriers, a move that will increase the cost of their delivery services.DHL, FedEx, and American Express are all using Tri Express, a shipping service that has gained popularity with U.S. customers and has expanded to more countries since it was launched in 2012.
The company said Thursday that Tri Express will increase its prices by more then $10 for packages from its existing tri express service to the Tri Express service, which will include FedEx and UPS.
DHL and FedEx customers will pay an extra $5 to use the new service, a spokesperson told Business Insider.
The Tri Express pricing will be available starting January 3.
Dynamics is the third-largest U.K. logistics company, according to its website.
The spokesperson added that UPS will also increase its tri express shipping rates.
The US has seen several companies that have tried tri express shipments, including Amazon, FedEx and DHL.
In May, FedEx started shipping packages via the service.
It announced plans to introduce a tri express shipment service, but it did not say how much it would cost.
